Yorkin is a charming little Bribri village along the Yorkin River, known for ecotourism.
To get there you have to take a canoe in Bambu, the canoe ride is around 1h30 on the way there and 1 hour on the way back. The scenery is beautiful.
On site you will visit the community, the host family prepares lunch and will give you a presentation of cocoa which is grown on their land, you will be able to try traditional archery.
There will be cultural arts and crafts on exhibition for sale, the atmosphere is soothing, it will also be possible for you to swim in the cool river.
You can even spend the night if you would like to!

Must Know
The accommodations are basic, there will be no hot water, no electricity.
Preferably come with closed shoes and light clothing.
Bring sunscreen, rain protection and mosquitoes repellent.
Remember to bring water.
Rates will depend on whether you can get to the canoe port on your own and if you need a English-speaking guide
