Meet the Bribri
Half a day at the Bribri Indigenous Reserve
The Bribri Indigenous Reserve is located in the mountains, behind Puerto Viejo.
The hosting Bribri family will share with us their ancestral knowledge of plants and nature, their garden won't cease to surprise you. We'll taste the seasonal fruits, you'll be able to try archery, and together we will make cocoa in the Bribri culture way; from the plant to the cocoa tasting.
You will leave this experience soothed and rehumanized.
On site, they exhibit and sell their arts and crafts, such as colorful balsa masks, seed necklaces, decorated gourds etc.
Afterwards, we will make our way through the forest to get to a waterfall. The hike is short, around 10 minutes.
If the weather allows it, you can go swimming in the waterfall. We can bring with us some of our fresh handmade cocoa and use it as a peeling facemask that will leave your skin glowing.
Along the path it is common to find animals, such as sloths and colorful frogs.
The English-speaking guide will hop in your car and guide you to get there and back.
If you don´t have a car or don´t have place in your car for the guide, please let us know and we will arrange accordingly.
