Boca Yorkin
Day Tour at the Bribri Indigenous Reserve
The bribri indigenous family welcoming us mainly grow bananas, plantains and cocoa, and you will also have the opportunity to taste many other fruits from their organic farm.
They will be waiting for us in Bambu with their canoe to take us to their home.
It takes 45 minutes to drive to Bambu from Cahuita or Puerto Viejo, then 15 minutes by canoe.
From their property the views are spectacular. Some of their land is in Panamá, you will see the boundary stone with no need to show a passport!
Fulvia, the mother of the family, will prepare lunch and the traditional cocoa drink for us. A real treat!
Thanks to the English-speaking guide we'll provide you'll be able to understand more of their culture and traditions.
On the way back we will visit a beautiful waterfall, where you may find, among other animals, colorful frogs and, depending on the weather, you may even be able to enjoy a swim.
The English-speaking guide will hop in your car and guide you to get there and back.
