Native Bribri Tribe & “Dos rios” Waterfall
The Bribri Indian reserve is located south of Limon, in the mountains towards Panama. About 1h 15min drive from the Port of Limon.
The Bribri family who welcomes us will share with us their knowledge about plants and nature.
In addition to the plants and their crafts, they will show you how to make cocoa the ancestral way, from the tree to the finished product.
We will also have the opportunity to visit an Usule or conical house, a traditional Shaman as well as their garden of dendrobates (toxic frogs).
On site, they display crafts such as colorful balsa masks, seed necklaces, decorated gourds, etc., which can be purchased if you wish.
On the way back we will go to a waterfall. The hike is short, barely 10 minutes.
Depending on the weather, it is good to swim there.
Along the trail it is not common to find animals, such as sloths, howler monkeys, frogs, etc..
On the way back to Limon, we will stop at a beach to take some beautiful photos.
