Punta Uva´s beautiful beaches & Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge
The Gandoca Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge is located south of Limon, on the border with Panama.
To get there, we follow the coast, we pass Cahuita, Puerto Viejo, we pass by banana plantations. The landscape is splendid.
It will take approximately 1 hour 40 minutes to reach the village of Manzanillo.
After crossing by foot a small hanging bridge, we will head towards “Miss May Point”, a strip of land which offers us a panoramic view of the Caribbean Sea and the greenery of the tropical forest.
Along the way we will have the opportunity to observe local fauna and flora such as sloths, howler monkeys, iguanas, etc.
We´ll then make our way to Punta Uva, known as the most beautiful beach in the region.
It´s a lovely place to swim, rest, climb to the point for the best views and, depending on the weather, practice snorkeling or gently go up a river in a kayak in company of your guide.
